Our Stitched Faux Leather Tricorn Hat is an exacting replica of the original article. Durable faux leather is embellished with sturdy stitching, cotton canvas brim, and laced detailing. 

The tricorn, or ‘cocked hat,’ evolved with the adoption of the flint-lock musket during the 17th century. Spanish infantry soldiers were among the first to ‘cock’ their wide-brimmed leather hats allowing them to shoulder their muskets. The tricorn became popular among European militaries and formed a part of the regulation uniform for British Royal Navy officers, many of whom would become the world’s most notorious pirates.
